The Cobbler’s children have no shoes.
“The Cobbler’s children have no shoes.” It’s a tired old cliche but there’s a huge amount of truth in that saying. What it means, in essence, is that the Cobbler is so busy making shoes for his Customers that his kids are running around bare foot. We had the same problem. We spend so much time working on our Customers sites that we spend far too little on our own so I’ve taken steps to fix that. Step one has been to put our site into the same internal system that we use for Customer sites. That has meant that know there is a scheduled bunch of time in my calendar each week to work on it and that is already paying dividends. It’s still a work in progress but it’s no longer as out of date and embarrassing as it was a few weeks back.
We’ve changed the styling of it completely and added much more detail about our process & what we can actually do for our Customers. We’ve updated our email capture forms and completely re-worked our portfolio.
Again, there’s still lot’s more to do but we are now part of the system so we can expect to see progress on a regular basis. I’d love you hear what you think of it so far. Leave us a comment below to let us know what you think.
